John S. Gross entered into rest on June 12, 2022, at the age of 69.

John was born in Oakland on September 12, 1952, to parents Edward and Sylvia Gross. John served for six years in the navy and dedicated 25 years to working at the Lawrence Livermore National laboratory working as an engineer. While working he earned his BA in business administration and HR management from Holy Names College. In his spare time, John enjoyed building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes.

John is survived by his spouse of 49 years, Sandra Gross, daughter, Kristi Jensen, grandchildren, Emma Jensen and Elyse Jensen, and siblings, Joe Gross, Margaret Knight, Jean McNeely, and Theresa Wybrant. His loved ones have entrusted his care to Grissom's Mortuary. 

Memorial Donations in John's name can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
