John Rodrigues Sr. was born on Friday December 23, 1949 in Oakland, CA to Beverly and George Rodrigues. John, otherwise known as Jr. or Grizzly. He graduated from Arroyo High in 1968 and worked as an Auto Parts Salesman and a Chef for over 30 years. He spent his time riding motorcycles, spending time with his children and grandchildren, cooking, and making a room erupt in laughter with some of his jokes. Jr was especially proud of meeting and marrying his wife of 28 years Joanne Peterman Rodrigues and becoming a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Although he is gone he will be remembered and honored by his wife Joanne. His siblings George, Michael, and Glenn,  children Christy and Clay; Dee Ann and Mike; John Rodrigues Jr and Tyna; Nick and Tina; Tiffany; Jaclyn; Jordan and Christina; and Dionna. His grandchildren LeiLani; Ronald III; Olivia; Abigail; Aaliyah; Ethan; Ryan and Jessie; Hailey; Madison and Gracie. And his great grandchildren Karsyn and Lucas. 

Although this is a sad time for some, Grizzly would have wanted to be remembered as the amazing father; loving husband; great friend; brother; grandfather; generous; kind; and hilarious man he was always known as. 

Arrangements have been made at Grissom’s and there will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date.
