On September 11th, 2022, John Wayne Morris passed peacefully at his home in San Lorenzo of natural causes. He was 55 years old.

 John was born on November 11th, 1966 in Hayward, CA. He attended Sunset High School.

John is survived by his father, Kenneth Wayne Morris of Pleasanton; his children, Cherise Helaina Morris, Natisha Shanice Morris, Kobe Layne Morris; and sisters Susie Hazel Morris of San Lorenzo, Kathleen Grace Morris of Hayward, Marilyn Louise Morris of San Antonio; and uncle to Maria, Angel, Kimberly, Athena, Rachel; great-uncle to Jonathan, DJ, Lorenzo, Jason (Pop), Jonas (Sonny), Justus, Tre’, Caliyah, Camy, Cory; great-grand uncle to Adrian; and grandfather to Josiah Phoenix Peraza-Flores. He is preceded in death by Rebecca Lynn Boykin, grandparents George and Hazel Morris, Ralph and Grace Nelson; mother Louise E Nelson; and siblings Wayne and Kelley Morris.

John was always a welcoming and sarcastic spirit at any party or family gathering. You never knew if he was going to say “Hello” or “Who the hell are you?”. John (a.k.a. Johnny) touched so many people’s hearts throughout his life that included countless family, friends, his children’s friends and acquaintances.

A memorial service for John is scheduled for September 17th, 2022 at 9:00am - 12:00pm followed by the witness cremation at Grissom's Mortuary, 267 E Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA 94580. Afterwards please join the family in a celebration of life for Johnny at the Morris Family home at 17531 Via Arriba San Lorenzo, CA.
