John Edward Self entered peacefully into rest in Hayward, California on August 29, 2021. He was 97 years old.

Born April 5, 1924 in South Carolina to parents Emily and Benjamin Self, John worked as a bus driver for 33 years, following honorable service in the US Navy. He is survived by many loving family members and friends and will be greatly missed.
