Jo Ann Arino entered peacefully into rest at home in San Ramon, California on December 16, 2019, with her children at her side. 

Born November 15, 1947 in Oakland, California to parents Lois and Rodney Valansky, Jo Ann graduated from Oakland High School. Following graduation, she worked as a bank teller at California Savings in Rossmoor and First Interstate in Concord for over 20 years, and finished the last 14 years of her career working as a bookkeeper for Safeway in San Ramon. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to Harrah's in Tahoe, gambling, BBQ food, soap operas, chocolate and coffee. 

Jo Ann is survived by her beloved children Jim Arino, Shelley Arino and Danielle Paradis; grandchildren Angelina Arino, Marcus Paradis, Christian Paradis and Evan Paradis; brother-in-law Joe Squicciarino; nephew and niece-in-law Brett and Carinna Vogl; and grandpuppies Bella, Bear, Max, Missy, Cali and Bella P. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary.
