Jessie Luque passed away peacefully on March 12, 2017 in Hayward, California.  She was 90 years old. 

Born June 19, 1927 in Wellton, Arizona, she was one of eight children blessed to Juan and Vicenta Castro.  Jessie leaves behind her sister Lisa Fernandez and brother Jose Castro.  Before relocating to California Jessie met and married the love of her life Jesse Luque, they spent 70 years and 9 months happily married. Together they raised their three kids Gloria Gillio, Michael and John Luque.  Jessie worked 31 years as a Warehouse Supervisor.  When Jessie was not working she enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandsons.  Jessie loved cooking meals and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed watching her family grow as the years went on.  When Jessie was not cooking, working or spending time with her grandchildren, she would attend functions and meetings for Legion of Mary and St. Gerard’s Woman’s Club.

Visitation for Jessie will be 4-8pm on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo.  Vigil service begins at 7pm.  A catholic service will be on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:30am at St. John’s Catholic Church.
