Jason Maggiora, 51, didn’t seek the spotlight, but somehow, the spotlight always found him. Born in Oakland, California, Jason carried with him a lifelong love for culture, creativity, and connection. He later made his home in Dublin, where he lived with his family and built the life he cherished most. He attended California High School in San Ramon before continuing his education at UC Santa Barbara, experiences that helped shape his curiosity about the world and the people in it.
Jason’s love of music was sparked early through his time at Tower Records, where he developed a deep appreciation for vinyl and the culture surrounding it. His career in journalism, including his work with ANG Newspapers as a Special Features Editor, reflected both his curiosity and his passion for storytelling. He was also a devoted Oakland A’s fan, a loyalty that brought him joy throughout his life.
At Apple, Jason worked as a Creative, where he honed his training skills and technical expertise, helping others learn and grow with patience and enthusiasm. He later brought those talents to Meta, where he worked for 10 years as a New Hire Operations Coordinator, developing and leading entry programs that welcomed and guided countless new employees. His impact was lasting, not just in what he built, but in how he made people feel.
Outside of work, Jason was an avid photographer, a passionate traveler, and a dedicated collector of vintage vinyl. He found beauty in moments, stories in images, and connection through music.
Yet, of all his accomplishments, Jason’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stacie, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage, and their four children—Jack, Kelly, Keri, and Mark—who carry forward his wit, his creativity, and his love of photography, music, and travel. He is also survived by his parents, Rym and Lu, and his sister, Meredith.
Jason is forever missed, but never forgotten. His spirit lives on through his children and all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Summer 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice. And, in true Jason fashion, they kindly remind you to make sure your film is stored in a dark, cool, dry place.
