November 24, 1933 – May 14, 2021
Janet Mooney was reunited in heaven with her beloved sons Michael and Dennis and husband Gerard (Jerry) on May 14, 2021.
Janet was the fourth child of Freeman and Minnie Enos. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Janet was proud of her heritage and family. While her sons were young, Janet devoted her time as a little league mother and actively volunteered in their school activities at St. John the Baptist School in San Lorenzo.
Janet started her career as a secretary at Montgomery Ward and later as a photo finisher. However, she prioritized her most important job as being a good wife and loving mother to her sons.
A resident of San Lorenzo for many years, in her later years, Janet enjoyed her home in the Sierra foothill town of Pine Grove. She was an excellent cook and hostess to her many friends from the Bay Area and enjoyed many new friends at the Jackson Rancheria Casino. She was an avid San Francisco Giants fan and an Oakland Raiders fan. She enjoyed watching the televised games of these teams alongside her family.
Janet widowed in 2014, and was brokenhearted when losing both sons, Dennis and Michael, to cancer within eight months of each other in 2020. On May 14, Janet rejoined the loving family she dearly missed here on earth. Now her family is united forever in eternity.
She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Caeton of Pine Grove, CA and Bernadette Harter of Manteca, CA. She was preceded in death by brothers Lawrence Enos of Elk Grove and Robert Enos of San Ramon. Also preceded in death by sister Emelia Kaye of Manteca.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to charities of your choice.
