Castro Valley, California – James Warren Journeay, resident of Castro Valley, California passed away on June 4, 2017 at the age of 76.

James, ‘Jim’ known as by his friends, was born in Berkeley, California. After graduating Castlemont High School in Oakland he went on to serve in the Army from 1963 - 1969.

He retired as a Fire Captain from the East Bay Regional Park District to enjoy his family and his passion for Classic cars and Hot rods.

Jim was a loving husband to Lynette Journeay for 22 years. He was blessed with three children Jamie, Debbie and Kristy and 7 grandchildren.

He was the son to Floriene Journeay and brother to John Journeay.

Burial Service will be held at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Avenue, Hayward, CA 94591 on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm.  

The arrangements were respectfully entrusted to Grissom’s private Crematory, San Lorenzo, Ca.
