James Robert Fowler Jr. (Jim, Jimmy) was called home peacefully on May 9th 2019 in San Ramon, California at the age of 53. Jimmy was an esophageal cancer survivor of 4 years. He fought hard to stay here with everyone he loved.
James Robert Fowler Jr. is survived by his wife Elizabeth Fowler of San Ramon; sons James and Dakota Fowler; step-sons Joey and Jon Reil; granddaughter Harlow Reil; mom Ruth Fowler; brother Kirk Fowler; brothers Rick and Nick Wright; sisters Carrie and Lori Fowler; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats Gemma and Fiona ( and you guys thought he was a pit-bull owner). He is preceded in death by his dad James Robert Fowler Sr.
James Robert Fowler (Jim, Jimmy) was born on May 31st, 1965 in Colorado to Ruth and James Fowler. Jimmy moved from Colorado to Newark California in 1971. After high school he began working as an excavator, and became a member of Operating Engineers Local 3. Before Jimmy got ill he was working at Platinum Pipeline which he said was one of the best companies he has ever worked for, they were family. He started dating Elizabeth Reil after they met by mutual friends at a church in Fremont California in 2006, and in 2017 they married.
A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Cedar Church, 38325 Cedar Blvd. Newark, CA. 94560 with a reception to follow. Pastor Jeff Harris will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jimmy's life. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
