James Joseph Figueroa, Jr. (a.k.a. Kimo), was born to parents James Joseph Figueroa, Sr. and Valerie Sue (nee Rafferty) on August 25, 1971 in Hayward, CA.

Kimo came up as a fun loving young man who attracted people from all walks with his personality; specifically while attending Arroyo High School (San Lorenzo) and Chabot College (Hayward).

During his life, he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Local No. 3; a job he was very good at, but his loves, aside from his family, were dirt bikes and his Harley Davidson.

In addition to his toys, he was an avid Raiders and A's fan. Kimo also was an active participant in the life of many young people as he was affliated with the San Lorenzo Little League.

James departed this life on October 19, 2017 in Castro Valley. He leaves to mourn his passing his children Andrew and Jonah; his parents James J. & Valerie Figueroa, Sr., one brother Matthew Figueroa (Heather) of Livermore; one sister Kim Figueroa (Nebraska); three nieces Taylor, Ashley and Alexandra, and a host of relatives and friends.

He will be laid to rest at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Fremont, CA.

Interment is private.
