Hyke “Dave” David Markarian entered peacefully into rest at home in San Francisco on December 21, 2019. He was 58 years old.

Born November 30th 1961 in Boston, Massachusetts to parents Hyke and Lucy Markarian, Dave grew up in Napa, California and played baseball and varsity football all 4 years of high school. Following high school he entered the US Marine Corps, where he served for 3 years until being honorably discharged. Dave spent most of his adult life living in San Francisco, California, where he worked as a carpenter for 20 years and was a member of the Carpenters Local 751. He enjoyed the beaches in San Francisco and was also a big football and baseball fan, rooting for the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco Giants. He loved spending his weekends with his grandson watching football and eating BBQ.

Dave is survived by his two daughters Dominique Markarian and Leann Parmar (Monty); grandson Jay Parmar; and ex-wife and friend Tracy Markarian. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Akaby Altoonian and Aroosiag Hagopian, and by his loving Aunt Margaret Doolin. He will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service for Dave will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA 94580.
