Helen Satin was born in Kluch, Romania on August 6, 1944 to Chana and Samuel Huber (Kunik). She passed away on May 20, 2018 at Bruns House in Alamo, California. She was 73 years old.
Helen is survived by her children, Philip Satin, Shari Satin Chakravarthi and Mark Satin; grandchildren Tejas Chakravarthi and Maya Chakravarthi; and brothers Hershel Huber and Alec Huber. She was preceded in death by Joel Satin, her husband of 42 years.
She went to Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston, Massachusetts, and Massasoit College in Brockton. Helen worked as a social worker for 20 years. Her hobbies included volunteer ombudsman, volunteer at the food pantry, community helper, crocheting hats for cancer patients, garden club, book clubs and cooking, She fought for children’s rights and she worked with underprivileged kids. She was a loving and outgoing friend, mother, daughter, and sister.
Graveside services will be held 11 am on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Belew Cemetery, 9500 Belew Road, Aubrey, Texas.
