HELEN M. VIGIL

February 6, 1925 - November 2, 2018

San Lorenzo, California

Born to Lucy & David Belo, February 6, 1925 in La Veta, Colorado. Raised in Colorado & later moved to California where Helen met her future husband, Roldan. They married February 27, 1947. They were married for 69 years.

Helen worked for Pacific Bell until starting her family. She then changed her career from telephone operator to homemaker. Together, Helen & Roldan raised 7 children. Travel was one of Roldan’s passions & Helen accompanied him to 5 different continents & 35 countries. Helen enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, singing, dancing, spending time with friends, cooking & caring for her family. Her greatest accomplishment, however, was making her house a home where all were welcomed and all felt her love.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Roldan & her eldest daughter, Anita Reynolds. She is survived by her children: Rolanda Shrader, Jim Vigil, Kathryn Thomsen, Isidore Vigil, Maria Aranda, & Larry Vigil. Helen had 12 grandchildren whom she dearly loved. She also has 31 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. Also, there are many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends who loved & will miss her.

Funeral service will be at Grissom's Chapel and Mortuary on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10 AM. Helen will be laid to rest at Chapel of the Chimes cemetery. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to the organization below in honor of Helen M. Vigil.
