Helen Fulkerson Obituary

June 11, 1928 – November 5th, 2023

Our Mother, Helen, passed peacefully the evening of November 5th, 2023, at the Carlton in San Leandro. Helen was 95 years old and had lived a full life with family and friends. We mourn her passing but celebrate her life. Helen was born in San Leandro, CA on June 11, 1928. After getting married they bought a home in San Lorenzo where she lived for 63 years, before moving back to San Leandro 5 years ago. Helen is survived by her sister, Rose Viani, son David Fulkerson, daughter Diane Enbom, Son-in-Law Brian, Grandchildren Charlene, Robert, Rob and Leah, and her Great Grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Robert and son Douglas in 2004. Between 1966 and 2004 they ran their Antique shop, Bob’s Antiques, and traveled selling at shows. They were well liked and respected in the Antique community. They also enjoyed traveling in their trailer with their Sheltie Duchess. Helen loved lunching and shopping with friends, Bowling, tending to her garden, and traveling with her sister. We lost count of how many cruises she went on. She loved the Sheltie breed and had a total of 5 over the years. She was involved with the Historical Society, helping at the Church of Latter-day saints, and other clubs. Helen was well liked and will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a viewing from 10am – 11am on Monday November 13th at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, followed by her burial 11:15am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 26320 Mission Blvd. in Hayward.

In lieu of flowers, Contributions in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
