Gonzalo Sanchez entered peacefully into rest at home in Hayward, California, on September 14, 2019. He was 84 years old.

Born August 8, 1935 in Mexico to parents Maria de Jesus Alvarado and Jose Sanchez, Gonzalo worked for over 65 years as a field worker. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Leonore; children Maria de Jesus, Josephina, Eldemira, Alicia, Teresa, Gonzalo, Luis, Sylvia, Leonore, Jose, Lurdes, and Juan; siblings Lupe, Delia, Luis, Rafael, Salvadore; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ignacio.

Visitation for Gonzalo will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA, with a Vigil to take place at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 20, 2019, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. Gonzalo will be laid to rest in Mexico.
