Gladys S. Romero passed away on July 22, 2016 in Hayward, CA. She was 81 years old.

Born in Managua, Nicaragua in 1935 to Raul Sotomayor and Guillermina Borje. Gladys was one in 4 children. Victoria Bermudez, Olga Barta and her brother Miguel Torres (deceased).

 Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Cesar Romero, 4 children; Dina Rivera, Jeannette Lopez, Martin Escobar and Gladys Escobar. Grandchildren; Veronica Rivera, Dominic Rivera, Anthony Lopez, Bianca Lopez, Devina Lopez, Martin Escobar Jr. and Matthew Escobar and her 5 Great Grandchildren; Gabriel Rivera, Raymond Heeren, Dominic Rivera Jr., Analise Rivera.

 In her career she spent 17 years as a custodian before becoming a full time homemaker. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with family. She was a parishioner of St John’s Catholic Church, a loving Wife, proud Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

  There is a Visitation on Monday August 1st 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grissom’s Chapel and Mortuary 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, CA

 Mass is at St. John’s Catholic Church Tuesday August 2nd, 2016 at 10:00 AM 264 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, CA. Folllowing the Mass, she will head to her final resting place is at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, CA.
