George M. King, Jr.

It is with great sadness we share the passing of George M. King Jr. George was born in Oakland to Evelyn (Freitas) and George King Sr.  Married the love of his life Vangie Luevano in 1961, they were married for 65 years, raising their children in Hayward CA. George worked for Owen's Illinois Glass Company in Oakland for forty years, and was proud to be a Teamster.  He was an Usher at St. John's Church in San Lorenzo. He was part of the San Lorenzo Little League community as a Manager and Coach for many years. He was known as Mr. Stogie by his boys. Survived by his wife, Vangie King, daughter Debra (King) Pye, sons, George King lll and Sal King, and Nine grandchildren.  Preceded in death sister Stormy King, son Ronald Luevano and daughter Rhea (King) Knutz, and grandson Adam Pye.  He will be missed forever. A memorial service will be held at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd San Lorenzo CA. On January 24, 2026 at 1:00-4:00pm. A reception will follow at Marina Golf Course 13800 Monarch Bay San Leandro Ca
