Florence (Flo) Scott Wilson slipped peacefully in her sleep and returned to her Savior August 1, 2021.

Born on February 5th, 1936, Flo’s early life endured many trials. Raised in an orphanage, Florence and her many siblings were separated and though she tried to find all of them, was only able to reconnect with some in their adults years. She was sent to a good foster home as teenager, who showed her love and acceptance and left a lasting impression on her life.

Flo took her experiences growing up and cultivated them into strengths. She was resilient and strong, always ready to take on whatever task was placed before her, no matter how difficult. She was resourceful, determined, and hardworking in order to provide for her family. She was stubborn and firm, never waivering from her convictions and beliefs and continually striving to do what was right.

Florence was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and spent many hours serving others in multiple callings including serving a service mission in Southern California from 1992-1993. Flo was a proud mother of 3 children, Penny, who passed away as an infant, Howard, who passed away in 2005, and Scott. Raising two rambunctious boys as a single mother was not an easy feat, but she did it with grit and grace. Her boys were her whole world and she loved them dearly. They were her pride and joy, that is until grandchildren and then great grandchildren came along.

Flo was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way that she gets to meet before anyone else. She loved to play games with her grandchildren, especially card games, and enjoyed holding and watching her great grand-babies play. Nothing made her more happy than spending time with her family.

Florence believed in eternal families and was proud to have one of her own. Although we will miss her spunky attitude, we are sure she is overwhelmed with joy as she reunites with her beloved children and family members who have passed on before.
