Manoly passed away due to natural causes on August 30, 2026, in Castro Valley, California, at the age of 49.
Born on September 26, 1976, in Hayward, California, Manoly was the beloved son of Maria and Stylianos Pirounakis and brother to Rita and Luisa. He grew up in both Hayward and Oakland, where he was raised in a mixed cultural household surrounded by a family that was deeply grounded in Greek Orthodox faith and traditions, along with a mixture of his Portuguese culture that helped shape the man he became.
Manoly was truly full of life. From an early age, he embraced his Greek heritage with pride. He loved Greek culture and traditions, where his appreciation for music, dancing, and community could shine.

Friends are invited to attend the Trisagion at the Resurrection Greek Church 20074 Center Street Castro Valley on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 beginning at 7:00 P.M.

The Divine Liturgy will be said on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 beginning at 11:00 A.M. 

Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 26320 Mission Blvd. Hayward.
