Ellen Battles also affectionately known as Helen or Lena transitioned peacefully on March 16, 2022. She was 66 years old. 

Originally from Lautoka, Fiji, Ellen was born on February 23, 1956 to Edward and Martha Morell. She was a CNA/transporter for St. Rose Hosital for 22 years. Ellen enjoyed reading her bible, cooking, and baking. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 16 years Frederick Work and her latest husband of 2 years Gordon Batles. She is survived by her chilidren Lawrence, Alice, Edward,Erika, and Frederick, her grandchildren Frederick, Lutila, Sauitannah, Rachel, Seth, T.J, Cayley, Lydieth, Joel, Arianna, Lynnea, and Jace, One great grand child Ezra and many siblings Resina, Sili, Annie, Sera, Vina, Bella, Edward Jr. , Margie and Horace as well as many other family and friends that will miss her dearly. 

Services will be held at Grissom's Chapel and Mortuary on Saturday March 26 ,2022 at 10am.
