Elizabeth Ann Ridella (94) passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2018 with her daughter and granddaughter at her side. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband John Anthony Ridella (August 12, 1921 - December 8, 1994). Betty, or Boop, as she was affectionately known, was born on July 13, 1923 to Antonia and Jacob Pintar in Cup Lake, Michigan. Betty was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a warm-hearted and cheerful lady with a special understanding of children and childhood. Her home was always full of laughter, music, love, and play.
Betty was proud of her Army service and met her husband John at the end of World War II while stationed at Camp Cooke in Central California. During their brief courtship, she told her shy beau that she was going back to Michigan after her discharge. In response, he asked her to marry him and stay in California instead. They settled in Hayward, California to raise their children.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter, Gerard and Patricia Ridella, and their families.
