Duane M. Messinger

December 31, 1934 – June 10, 2017 
 

Duane M. Messinger entered into rest unexpectedly, on June 10, 2017 in Hayward, CA.  He was 82 years old.

Born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 31, 1934 to Evelyn and Mark Messinger, Duane was a man of absolute perfection in everything he did, staying organized was key to him.

Duane is best known as the owner of The Villa Cocktail Lounge in San Lorenzo.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Messinger, who just happen to have the same name as his mother, Children, Duane Messinger I and Diane Messinger (Cudiamat); grandchildren, Ashley and Samantha Cudiamat and Matthew Messinger; siblings, Diane Colini, Doug and Gary Messinger. Many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive Duane.

He was predeceased by his brother, Dale Messinger.

Visitation will be held at Grissom’s Chapel and Mortuary 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.  A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. also at the Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at Mt. Eden Cemetery, 2440 Depot Rd, Hayward.
