Dorothy Libby, aged 80, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023. She was born June 30, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Patrick and Dorothy Crudele. She was a longtime resident of Alameda County. She is survived by her childhood love and husband of almost 62 years, Richard Libby. Her sister, Marie Cramer of San Lorenzo, her three children, Kristina Mew and husband David of Hayward, Mark Libby of Danville, and Steven Libby and wife Emmanuelle of Luxembourg, Luxembourg. She had seven grandchildren Jeremy, Dan, Jake, Juliette, Hannah, Ava, and Paul, and five great-grandchildren Austin, Maddie, Hayley, Griffin, and Sloane.

Dorothy’s greatest love was her family and her devotion to faith. She enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to the next adventure. Please join the family in funeral services on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at St. John’s Church, San Lorenzo @10:30, with immediate burial services @ Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward. Following the burial, a gathering @Bueno Appettito Restaurant in Hayward will take place to celebrate Dorothy’s life!
