Dorothy A. Gallardo passed away on July 22, 2016 in Hayward, California. She was born in San Lorenzo, California on July 5, 1933 to parents; Frank and Cecelia Amaral. Dorothy was a graduate of Hayward High School. Although she was a housewife for many years, she also worked as a seasonal worker for Hunts Cannery in Hayward. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking bowling, and was an enthusiastic Oakland A’s Fan.

She was married to the late Wilbert Melvin Gallardo for 59 years. They had two children, Wayne Gallardo and Kathleen Manoso. She is survived by her sibling Gene Amaral.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Amaral.

Visitation will be 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo.  The vigil service begins at 4 pm.  Funeral services will begin at 11 am on Monday, August 1, 2016, also at the mortuary.  Dorothy will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
