Doris Elizabeth Castaneda entered peacefully into rest at home in Hayward, California on July 16, 2021. She was 56 years old. 

Born December 29, 1964 in San Francisco, California to parents Eldo Alfonso Castaneda and Yolanda Prieto, Doris graduated from American High School in Fremont, California. She later went on to receive certification in welding. She was a longtime member of the Disney Club and loved baking, crafting, and working as a seamstress and caretaker.  

Doris was preceded in death by her siblings Billy Castaneda and Alfonso “Lil Fonz” Castaneda. She is survived by her children Anthony Allen, Sabrina Gomes, Alfonso “Meekus” Castaneda, and Priscilla “Pie” Castaneda; grandchildren Aryana Allen, Anthony “Pum” Allen Jr., Steven Gomes Jr., Natalie Gomes and Alijah Allen; siblings Alfonso “Big Fonz” Castaneda, Eric Castaneda and Dennis Castaneda; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving family members and friends. She will be deeply missed.  

Visitation for Doris will be held from 2-3 PM on Friday, July 30th, 2021 at Grissom’s Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA, with services to begin at 3 PM.
