The passing of our sister, mother, aunt, cousin, Doris Caroline Flennaugh Morris saddens us all. Doris passed away on Saturday morning September 29, at 1:00a.m., following a stroke. Doris was 79 years of age, the daughter of Morris and Alice Flennaugh, mother of Yolanda Morris and Chester Morris, sister of Robert, Morrisine, Raymond, Katie and Terry, sister in law, Ruthie Morris Donaldson, grandmother of three, great grandmother of four and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Benarrage.

Doris was the second of Morris and Alice’s six children. While living in Fairbanks, Alaska, she married Chester Morris. Doris worked in telecommunications at Pacific Bell Telephone Company for many years.

Doris took great pride in her dictation and speaking skills. For many years she conducted her business, “The Sounding Board”, on Grand Avenue in Oakland. There she coached others on the skills of public speaking.

Doris requested a graveside service that was held Friday, October 12, 2018 at Mt. Eden Cemetery in Hayward.
