Life Legacy

Desiree entered peacefully into rest at her home in Castro Valley, California on February 2, 2021. She was 59 years old.

A 1979 graduate of Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, Desiree went on to work at Kaiser Hayward for 26 years. She was a member of 3 Crosses Church in Castro Valley, where she served as an usher, and was a member of Hearts Connect. She volunteered at the church’s Cross Street program. She also volunteered at Shepard’s Gate.

Desiree is survived by her son Jordan Olachea; grandson Jayden Olachea; sisters Lucilia Shreve and Rosa Doll; brother-in-law James Doll; nieces Andrea Simpson and Alexis Orantes; nephews Randy Hughey and Joseph Doll; seven great nieces and three great nephews; the Olachea family; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Gladys Cabral and her beloved furry companion of 17 years, Roxie.

Desiree loved the color purple, spending time at the beach and listening to Christian music. Her favorite song was “Great you are my Lord.” She was a true believer of the Bible verse Matthew 19.26: “With God all things are possible.”
