Debra Marie Schimmels entered peacefully into rest in Hayward, California on April 1, 2020. She was 59 years old.

Born March 2, 1961 in Colorado to parents Delores and Delwin Schimmels, Debra worked as a bookkeeper for over 15 years, after receiving her high school diploma and certificate in medical billing and coding. She loved listening to music, watching TV, playing card games, and most of all, spending time with her grandkids.

Debra is survived by her daughter Jessica Schimmels; grandchildren Anthony Jackson and Amari Carson; sister Susan Tyler (John); brothers Danny Schimmels and David Schimmels (Amelia); father Delwin Schimmels; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Delores Schimmels.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary.
