David Shy McCage, Jr.  (January 8, 1942 – June 8, 2024)

David S. McCage, 82, of San Leandro, CA, died of natural causes on June 8, 2024.

David was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on January 8, 1942, to David S. McCage Sr. and Gladys (Van Conet) McCage and grew up in Western Nebraska. He attended Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska, before studying History and Business at Creighton University and graduating from the University of Omaha with a B.A. (1964) and later his MBA from the University of Omaha in 1975. 

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Abigail Moyer, sister, Sally Ann Kopiasz, and brother, Tom McCage.  He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Alicia G. McCage; his daughters Melissa Trezza (husband Tom) and Mary Moyer; grandchildren Vincent and Frances; and his sister Louisa Comora (Kevin).

A patriot at heart, David was an avid reader and loved history, politics, and Nebraska football.  The family would like to thank Mori Manor Assisted Living Care Home and Direct Hospice Care.  A private service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
