Davelo Antonio Lujan, known to family and fiends as Papa, Lujan or Louie, entered peacefully into rest in Oakland, California on December 30, 2023. He was 67 years old.

Born March 18, 1956 in Oakland, California to parents Beverly Trujillo and Leo Peña, Davelo graduated from Fremont High School and went on to run and operate his own business, Lujan’s Floor Covering, for 30 years, where he did floor installation and contracting work. Davelo was a man of many hobbies and passions, and he loved watching sports, catering to his animals, listening to music, fishing, working on cars, selling at the flea market, playing chess and baseball, BBQing, eating quarter pounders and going to Talk of the Town for chili verde.

Davelo is survived by his children Davela Lujan, Daniella Perez, James Lujan, Jacob Lujan, Diana Dooley and Daniel Piña-Lujan; grandchildren Shayla, Anjalie, Mark, Joseph, Paul, Wayne, Madaliah, Luke, Noah, and Eliana; siblings Vienna Valenzula, Mark Peña, Randy Peña, Darlene Robello, Jacque Acosta, Leo Peña and Geoffrey Peña; and many other loving family members and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Services for Davelo will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA.
