Darlene Ann Goldhammer was born in Mitchell, South Dakota, on July 2, 1939 to Irene and Jacob Kellner (Erdman). She passed away peacefully at home in Hayward, California, on May 3, 2018. She was 78 years old.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Howard Goldhammer; daughter Patti Harris (Craig); grandchildren Sydney, Roxanne and Olivia; and siblings Mary Malde (Duane), Barbara Goldhammer (Harv), Dee Marshall (Dave) and Jeri Sherwood.

A graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University, and Black Hills State University, a teacher’s college, Darlene taught High School Business for 17 years. Her favorite hobbies included reading, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

There will be a Visitation for Darlene on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M., at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. On Saturday, May 12, at 11:00 A.M., there will be a Celebration of her Life at Calvary Lutheran Church, 17200 Via Magdalena San Lorenzo, CA.
