Dana X Bible “Corky”, 89, of San Leandro, passed away peacefully on April 23rd, 2019, of natural causes. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Rd, Lafayette, CA 94549. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are sent to the America Cancer Society.

Corky is survived by his son, Art Hoover; grandchildren, Steve, Art Jr. and Lisa; great grandchildren, Amber and Brandon; and his sister Bobby Kennedy.

Corky was born on December 24th, 1929 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Corky married his sweetheart, Rosemary and they spent their lives together in San Leandro until she passed. They enjoyed annual summer trips to Incline Village/Tahoe and summer outings on their speed boat with family and friends. Corky worked as a local truck driver and a member of Teamster Local 70 for 40 years. Corky loved sports and was a lifelong fan of the Oakland Raiders, the A’s and the Golden State Warriors, rooting for his teams right up to the end. He watched every game, knew all the stats and players, and enjoyed talking about them. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
