Life Legacy

Dale Stephen Mehr, 53, of Dublin, CA, formerly of Conover, WI, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Dale, named after his maternal grandfather, was born on December 20, 1972, in Rhinelander, WI, to Patricia & Walter Mehr. He was raised in Conover, WI and graduated from Northland Pines High School in 1991. After his first year of college, he served a two-year mission in Moscow, Russia, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He then resumed his studies at Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a major in Russian and a minor in political science. While at BYU, he met and married Kimberly Carson. After completing law school at Marquette University, he embarked on a successful career as a corporate attorney in the biopharmaceutical industry. He and Kimberly raised their three sons in California.

Dale grew up playing hockey. A product of the Eagle River Recreation Association youth hockey program, he was a member of the 1989 Northland Pines Eagles Boys High School Hockey State Championship team. He would later be the captain of the Eagles Hockey team in his senior year. After his missionary service, he played college hockey at BYU. As a youth, he was active in scouting and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. For several summers, he served as a camp counselor at Camp Tesomas, where he developed his leadership skills and positively impacted the lives of the younger scouts. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he has served in many leadership positions throughout his life. Loved by all, Dale was a kind, thoughtful, patient, and generous soul with an engaging sense of humor. He loved sports, travel, skiing, and spending time with his family. Always giving back, he was instrumental in continuing the John Mark Price Memorial Scholarship and in founding the Walter S. Mehr Memorial Scholarship, both of which support the educational needs of NPHS graduating seniors.

Dale is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Kimberly. He is also survived by his sons, Bradley (22), Tanner (19), and Carter (14); mother, Patricia A. Mehr; brothers, David (RaDawn),
Daniel (Maureen), Douglas (Connie), Dennis (Stacie), Donald (Elizabeth); sister, Patricia (John) Zwolinski; as well as many nieces and nephews who knew Dale as their favorite uncle. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, February 7, 2026, at 6100 Paseo Santa Cruz, Pleasanton, CA 94566. Internment will be at 11:00 am on February 13, 2026, at the Provo City
