Columba De Alvarez passed away on September 4, 2016 in San Ramon, California. She was born in Durango, Mexico on December 31, 1938 to parents; Natividad Valdez and Natalia De Valdez. She was a homemaker for 29 years and she loved spending time with her family and loved to cook. Columba was married to her husband Pedro Alvarez (deceased) for 62 years. They had 5 children; Pedro, Jose Luis (deceased), Elena, Rafael and Yolanda. She is survived by her grandchildren; Pedro Alberto, Lorena, Lupe and Sonia. Great Grandchildren; Belen and Leo. Siblings; Francisco Valdez, Mercedes Nunez, Agustin Valdez, Manuela Fragoso, Emilia Corral, Felix Valdez, Maurilia Magallanes and Pedro Valdez.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday September 12, 2016 4:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Grissom’s Chapel and Mortuary 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, Ca. 94580. A funeral Mass will take place Tuesday September 13, 2016 at 9:00am at All Saints Catholic Church 22824 2nd. St. Hayward, Ca. 94541. An Interment will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, Ca. 94544
