Life Legacy

In Loving Memory of Chris Alan Wilhelm

23 April 1954 – 12 October 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Alan Wilhelm, who left us

on October 12, 2025 after a short illness. He was 71. Born on April 23, 1954, Chris

spent his childhood in San Bruno, California, before making his home in San Ramon.

Chris was a devoted husband to Gayle Wilhelm (née Harrington), sharing 48 wonderful

years of marriage. Chris was a proud, loving father to Michael Wilhelm, daughter-in-law

Lisa Roberts, and "Papa" to his two beloved grandchildren, Olivia Grace Wilhelm and

Hudson James Wilhelm, who added immense joy to his life.

With more than 35 years dedicated to AT&T, Chris retired leaving behind a legacy of hard

work, loyalty, and integrity. In retirement, he found further fulfilment working with

Sodexo, continuing to enrich his life through meaningful connections and friendships.

A passionate supporter of both the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants,

Chris held season tickets to the 49ers and attended the home games, through good

seasons and bad. He enjoyed spending summers with his family in Tahoe and took pride

in participating in America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride, a 72-mile ride around the lake. He

always enjoyed the annual weekend getaway to the Tahoe area with his lifelong friends

to share memories and create new ones. Chris was an unassuming sharpshooting

Bocce Ball player, and always nailed the key shots, making it look easy. A well-informed

reader, Chris was always up on the current news, trends, and music. Because of this, he

was the go-to guy for any inquiry or trivia and was always willing to utilize his iPad for

tougher questions.

Chris will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his enthusiasm for

sport and life, and his steadfast friendship to all who knew him. His kindness, loyalty,

and love will remain in our hearts forever.

We invite you to share memories and celebrate the life of Chris on Sunday, November

23rd at 12 Noon at the Alcosta Senior Community Center, 9300 Alcosta Blvd., San

Ramon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's honour may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind

or American Cancer Society
