Carl Raymond Bowersmith, "Daddy Bowersmith" to friends and family, passed away June 23, 2018 at his home in San Leandro at the age of 83. He was born September 15, 1934, in Berkeley, CA to parents Everett and Helen Bowersmith.

Carl is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Dawn Bowersmith; children and children-in-law Carl and Theresa, John and Thea, and Ronny and Myndi; grandchildren Jenna, Spencer, Kelsea, Lexi, Skyler, and Hunter; great granddaughter Avilee Dawn; and siblings and siblings-in-law Robert Bowersmith, Suzie Pollard, Barbara Pollard, and Bobby Pollard. He is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Helen. 

Carl attended Reedly High, San Lorenzo High, Woodlake High, Hawyard High, and graduated from Mt. Diablo. He worked as a machinist for United Can for 42 years. Carl served for two years in the US Army. 

Carl was a devoted husband to his wife Judy, loving  father to his three sons, and supportive friend to many. His biggest hobby was his personal 1934 Ford pickup, and he enjoyed his membership in the Ford Motor Club.
