Betty Jane Krueger entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley, California on February 1, 2021. She was 81 years old.

Born June 26, 1939 in Oakland, California to parents Mary and Ernest Tavares, Betty graduated from Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California. She went on to work as a banker for Bank of the West (formerly Central Bank) for 45 years. Betty loved her family, reading, Facebook, and playing video poker.  

Betty is survived by her daughter Stacy Marie Thayer; grandchildren Shanandrea Marie Goins (David) and Cody James Tripp; great granddaughter Cassara Marie Trejo; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, James Krueger; parents Ernest and Mary Tavares; and siblings Ernest Tavares and Joyce Miguel (Tavares). She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Betty’s honor to their favorite charity.
