Barbara Jo Smith, of Hayward, California, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, from pulmonary hypertension. She was 58 years old.

Born June 15, 1961 in San Jose, California to parents Dorothy and Gilbert Smith, Barbara attended Harbor High School, and worked as a caregiver and band manager. She had an immense passion and love for dogs, and enjoyed comedy to the fullest. Most of all she loved the company of her vast array of friends. 

Dorothy is survived by her sisters Christine and Diane; son Ronnie Lee and adopted son Casey; and devoted friends Andi, Erik, Susan, Michele, Sandy, Gary, Tony and Rita. 

Cremation has taken place and a memorial contribution to ASPCA may be made in Barbara's name. A Celebration of Barbara's life, with a balloon release, will be held at Cull Canyon Park - date and time to be announced shortly. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary.
