Barbara Jean Blevins (Bobbie) entered into rest on January 24th , 2022 after a long battle with lung cancer. Barbara was born February 2, 1937 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Wayne T. Murdock and Willa Mary Murdock.

Barbara was a retired Registered Nurse who worked for over 50 years. In 1958 she graduated from Mercy Hospital Nurses Training in Denver, Colorado. She moved to California shortly after to work with her aunt Regina Murdock at Levine Hospital in Hayward, CA. Barbara worked at Levine Hospital until it closed in the mid 80’s. She then worked at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, CA until her retirement in 2009.

Barbara enjoyed antiquing, crafts, gardening, puzzles, watching game shows and crocheting. As well as spending time with loved ones. While living in Georgetown, CA she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 9241.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years David F. Blevins, her parents Wayne and Willa Mary Murdock, brother Leon D. Murdock, son-in-law Gary Fleming and great granddaughter Luna Lencioni.

She leaves behind her sister Jennie Hinders (Tom), daughters, Kathy Fleming, Lisa Thompson and Michelle Stuart (John). Seven grandchildren Breanne Lencioni, Erik Fleming (Jamie), Haley Thompson, Deshaun Stuart, Maya Thompson, Jake Fleming and Dominick Stuart, two great granddaughter’s Aubree Fleming and Aurora Lencioni. Nieces Kathleen Richards (Scott) and Patricia DePrefontaine (Sean) and nephew Curtis Murdock (Karen), her beloved pet Buddy and a large loving extended family.

Barbara was loved by all who knew her.

Funeral will be Saturday February 5th, 2022 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, CA 94580.
