Barbara Heredia, age 70, passed away on 03/18/2026, surrounded by love and light. She leaves behind a legacy defined by unwavering devotion, fierce protection, and a love that will never be forgotten.
Above all, Barbara was a deeply loving and dedicated mother. She had a gift for making her children feel safe and loved unconditionally. She stood by them through everything, protecting them and holding them close no matter the circumstances. Her love was steady, fierce, and constant; something her family could always rely on.
She was also a source of guidance and peace. When life felt overwhelming or uncertain, she had a way of helping things make sense again. She brought calm to chaos, grounding those around her and offering clarity, strength, and perspective when they needed it most.
In her work as a massage therapist, Barbara carried that same gift into the world. She was a healer not only through her hands but through her presence; offering comfort, release, and care to all who came to her. Many experienced her energy as deeply calming, a quiet kind of healing that stayed with them long after they left.
Barbara also found joy in art, expressing herself in ways that reflected her depth and spirit. Along with her creativity, she cherished time spent with family above all else. Whether with her husband, her children, or her extended family, those moments of togetherness meant everything to her.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Heredia; her son Frank and his children Julian, Mia, and Berlin; her daughter Alishia and son-in-law Mark, and their children Mark and Austin; her son Vicente and his children Liliana, Vicente Jr., and Carlos; and her son Daniel, daughter-in-law Erika, and grandchildren Isaiah, Olivia, and Ezekiel. Her love lives on eternally through each of them.
A funeral/viewing/memorial will be held on 04/03/2026 at 1-4pm. At Grissoms Chapel (267 E lewelling blvd San leandro CA.)
Though she has left this world, her love lingers in the spaces she filled; in her husband, children and family, in their laughter, their memory, in the quiet moments of reflection. She remains a steady light, forever woven into the hearts and lives of those who knew her.
