Arleen J. PAUL (née JOHNSON) died unexpectedly on Friday morning February 23, 2024.  While she now has left us, she has left us with many reminders of her creativity and love.  She created in many media. She loved sewing, quilting, painting, crafting and making treats. The things she made were just some of the many ways she showed her love. She loved to laugh, and would find any excuse to celebrate or have a party.  

She was born in Patterson, California in 1937.  Her parents were Charles Adren JOHNSON and Frona LARSON. She was the second child and second daughter. Shortly there after her birth, her family moved Empire where her three brothers were born.  Arleen love living out in the country eating from the many fruit trees and swimming in the canals. She was in the first graduating class from Downey High School in Modesto in 1955.  She went to BYU and studied art.  Her second year at BYU, she was elected Dorm President.  She went a little early to meet the Dorm parents.  The Dorm mother said, “you are the girl I want Ron to marry.”

It took some doing to get them together, but once they meet that was it.  Arleen married Ronald W. Paul on March 15, 1957.  Soon four girls followed.  Eight years later, her final daughter arrive. 

Arleen was very active in her church holding several leadership position, working with the young women and the women of the church.    She lead girls camp for four years. She collected friends and gather people to her who needed extra love.  

She is survived by her husband Ron Paul and her daughters: Rona (Jeff), Danette, Torry (Gary), Shaun (Greg) and AdreAnn; her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
