Anna Maria Santiago entered peacefully into rest at home in San Lorenzo, California on February 15, 2021. She was 60 years old.
Born November 20, 1960 in Oakland, California to parents Maria Juana Garcia and Gilberto Lugo Santiago, Anna studied at Chabot and Las Positas Community Colleges, graduating with an Associate’s degree in early child development and associate teaching. She went on to serve as the head teacher at Harvest Valley Adventures in Learning for 16 years. She loved gardening, scrapbooking, feeding and helping the homeless community, sending gifts to children overseas, and teaching young children.
Anna is survived by her children Rudy Chaidez, Marissa Chaidez, and daughter in law Serena Chaidez; grandchildren Rudy Sonny Chaidez, Xzavier Chaidez, Jesse Chaidez, Georgie Maldonado, and Joe Chaidez; parents Maria Juana Garcia and Gilberto Lugo Santiago; siblings Margie Santiago, Gilbert Santiago, and Benny Santiago; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Latisha Chaidez in 2015. Anna will be deeply missed.
