Alice H. Neideffer entered peacefully into rest at her Livermore residence on October 23, 2018. She was 90 years old.
The fourth of five children blessed to George and Mary Harrigfeld, Alice was born on March 7, 1928 in Emerson, Nebraska. She moved to the Bay Area as a child and graduated from Oakland Tech in 1945. Alice enjoyed a short, but successful career as a loan agent with Bank of America prior to meeting her beloved husband, Vance. They would share 49 years of marriage and raise 7 children prior to his passing in 2000. Alice was a longtime parishioner at St Johns’ Catholic Church and member of St. Gerard’s Womens Club. She enjoyed entertaining, spending time with her family and friends and the occasional trip to Tahoe and the casinos. As her children were growing, Alice worked as a secretary for Hayward Area Recreation and Park District and in her later years, volunteered for Kaiser Hospital in Hayward. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Alice is survived by her children and their spouses, Margaret (Mike) Falzone, Mike (Nancy) Neideffer, Mary (Jim) Santisteban, Mark (Elaine) Neideffer, Marty (Dawn) Neideffer, Marlene (Chris) George and Matt (Julie) Neideffer; grandchildren, Melynda, Michael (Stephanie Haertling), Kaitlin, Morgan, Brittany, Kelsey, Alexis, Amy, Jessica, Jacob, Emma, Lily, Isaac, Samuel, Alice and Luke; great grandson, Walter and many cherished extended family and loving friends.
