Aldo Benassi passed away January 17, 2019 in Denton, Texas, at the age of 76. He was born May 23, 1942 in Lucca, Italy to parents Orlando and Maria Benassi.

Aldo worked as a maintenance mechanic for Oakland Housing Authority for 38 years, after graduating from Castlemont High School. He enjoyed landscaping, aviculture, and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Aldo is survived by his daughters Cynthia Benassi, Lisa Hayhurst Benassi, Cassie Wilbur, and Jennifer Benassi; grandchildren Nicolas Wilbur, James Hayhurst-Benassi, and Kaden Benassi; and sister Maria.

Services for Aldo will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. Aldo will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
