Albert "Al" Lee Ringgold Jr. passed away April 20, 2019, in San Leandro, California. He was 68 years old.

Born March 20, 1951 in Los Angeles, California to parents, Elizabeth and Albert Ringgold Sr., Albert worked as a barber for over 30 years after serving in the US Marines.

Albert is survived by his children, Star and Albert III; siblings Horace, Harold, Arnold, John, Gerald, Lamar, and Donna and many loving extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings Joyce, Larry and Donald.

Military honors will be presented at 1 PM on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Albert will be laid to rest at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
