With full hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ah Wong Shum. He left this world peacefully at the remarkable age of 103.

Ah Wong lived a long and beautiful life—rich in love, laughter, and legacy. A man of quiet strength and deep joy, he was rarely seen without a smile on his face. He had an infectious laugh that could light up a room and a presence that made everyone feel at ease.

A passionate lifelong gardener, he found peace and purpose with his hands in the soil and fruit tree branches, coaxing beauty and life from the earth. His legacy lives on in every blossom he tended and every moment of joy he shared. 

We miss him dearly, but we are endlessly grateful for the 103 wonderful years he graced this earth with. 

A private service will be held with close family. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to plant something in his honor—because to him, every seed was a promise of something beautiful.

Rest easy. Your garden lives on in us.
