Africa “Afric” Jimenez passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017 in Hayward, California.  She was 58 years old. 

Africa was born on December 2, 1935 in San Fernando, Pampanga Philippines, to Leonardo and Anna Salvador.  She was blessed with a sister Loretta and a brother Zoilo.  Africa attended Bacolor Elementary School in the Philippines.  Africa met and married the love of her life Eladio Jimenez.  They were together for 58 years and raised 10 children Lucia, Adoracion, John, Glenford, Ericson, Alex, Albert, Jennifer, Thess, and Baby.  Africa was a housewife, taking care of the family and chores of the house.  Africa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Godwin, Grace, Jerome, Don, Denni, Daniel, Ara, Ariane, Allysa, Jepoy, Elyka, Angelica, Mauryn and Mia.  She also enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren Jayden, Noah, Thea, Denniel, Mica, Harry and Kate.  When Africa was not spending time with her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, she enjoyed catching up on all her shows on the Filipino channel. 

Visitation for Africa will be Wednesday March 22, 2017 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, California.  Vigil at 7pm.
