In Loving Memory of Abelardo (Abe) Rodriguez

April 16, 1949 – July 13, 2025

Abe Rodriguez, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Pleasanton, California. Born on April 16, 1949, in Sonora, Mexico, Abe lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, faith, and passion. Abe was the proud owner of a beekeeping business, where he poured his heart into caring for nature’s smallest workers. He was a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan, known for never missing a game and cheering with unmatched spirit. Abe was a man who knew how to enjoy life — his love for music, gatherings, and celebrations brought joy to those around him. His laughter, stories, and spirited presence will be deeply missed. Above all, Abe was a devoted husband and a loving father to his children.

He is pre deceased in death by his parents, brothers Mario, Caesar, and Arturo, and loving wife Eleanor.  He is survived by his children Don Rodriguez, Cynthia Rodriguez, step children Michael Esquivel Jr, (Lesley), Marco Esquivel (Toni), and Miste Esquivel (Gil). He cherished his grandchildren - Destanie, Donnie Jr., Deanna, Izaac, Ricky, Zoe, Lexi, Marco Jr., Symone, and Kailani and great-grandchildren Blayke, Gavyn, and Axel, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He is also survived by his siblings - David Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, Lupita Stoyanof, Diane Orencio, Silvia Rodriguez and Monica Rodriguez, and his dog Lucky. His legacy of love, hard work, and joy in the simple things will live on through them.

 To honor his life and bid their final goodbyes, family and friends are invited to attend a vigil at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary on August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with the funeral to follow. Interment will then occur at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held in Dublin afterward.
