Michael John Fama, age 67 of Castro Valley, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2018.  Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Fama.  Born in San Francisco and raised in San Leandro.  Michael is survived by his sister, Cathleen Peterson and brother in law, Christopher Peterson.  He was the loving uncle to Neil Silva (Chelsey), Nicholas Peterson (Whitnee) and Jordan Peterson (Maggie).  Great-Uncle to Chase Peterson, Blake Peterson and Mackenzie Peterson.  Loving nephew of Raymond and Evelyn Fama, Otto and Lydia Schwarz, Glenn and Roslyn Beauchamp, and Ward and Louise Beauchamp.  Loving cousin of Sandra Schwarz, Rebecca Fama, Penny Jauregui, Linda Jamison, Janice Kail and Sandy Beauchamp.  He will be missed by his longtime friend, Gloria Jefferson.

Michael was an avid sports fan and loyal to the San Francisco Giants.  Michael enjoyed collecting vintage baseball cards and had an extensive collection.

Services will be private.  Michael will be laid to rest at the Italian Cemetery in Colma.
